CWU English Club Hosted Literary Reading Session

Central Women’s University English Club recently organized a lively book reading session on January 25, 2024, at 12 PM. Held on the university's 6th floor, students had the chance to hear excerpts from the latest books by authors Mr. Imran Khan and Mr. Abdus Selim. The event featured readings from Imran Khan's short story collection, যন্ত্র ও জন্তু (The Machine and the Mammal) and Abdus Selim's anthology of translated poems শব্দ ও বোধের কবিতা (Poems of Sound and Sense,) read by Anita Roy, Joya Dabi Sretry, Eshrat Jahan Ananna and Salsabil Bhuiyan. Both authors also shared their thoughts on their writing journey. During the Q&A session students asked questions about the writing process and shared their literary experience. The event wrapped up with a thank-you note and a short speech from the Vice Chancellor Dr. Perween Hasan. This event was moderated by Mr. Asif Nawaz with the help of the volunteers Meherun Nesa, Jannatul Ferdush and Raidah Haque.
