Introduction
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is basically a merging of many technologies, where “Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)” plays the most vital role. In the 21st century, CSE has become a vital zone of science and engineering education. The CSE personifies Central Woman’s University’s (CWU) tradition of excellence in encouraging and building women leadership in technology education and research. The undergraduate program offered by this university is aimed to justify students for the academic world and the computer industry.

Program Mission
The principal goal of this Department is to build a bridge between academia and the ICT industry, The business world so well as government and non government organization. Our seminars and workshops provide continuing education for the both faculty members and students.

Program Objectives
We offer Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (B.Sc. in CSE). We train the students in formation Systems, Computer Hardware Systems, Communication and Networking, Intelligent Systems, Signal and Information Processing. This program also focuses on theoretical and mathematical based problems with courses on theoretical Computer Science. Interdisciplinary courses in English, Business Studies, Bangladesh Studies, basic sciences such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, and Chemistry are incorporated in the curriculum for building good communication skills. We constantly upgrade our syllabus and curricula, and provide hands on experience in research and development through final year Thesis/Project or Internships in the ICT industry. We have excellent laboratory facilities.
We have both experienced and young faculty members who are dedicated to teaching and have strong inclination towards research and development.

Program Structure
This Program normally takes four (04) academic years (i.e. 12 Trimesters) to complete. Each academic year is divided into 3 Trimesters .
In order to graduate a total of 60 courses (140 credit hours) must be completed by a student. There are thirty nine (39) Core Courses carrying 77 Credit hours, six (06) Optional Courses carrying 12 Credits hours, an Internship or Thesis/Project Work carrying 6 Credit hours, five (05) Mathematics and Statistics Courses carrying 15 credit hours, six (06) Basic Science Courses carrying 12 Credit hours, four (04) Compulsory General Education Courses (CGEC) carrying 12 Credit hours and two (02) Interdisciplinary Courses carrying 6 Credit hours are required to graduate.
