Badminton Tournament 2024

The Central Women's University (CWU) recently concluded its highly anticipated university badminton tournament, showcasing the prowess and competitive spirit of 28 teams from various departments. Kicking off on January 30, 2024, the tournament saw intense matches and remarkable displays of skill, culminating in a thrilling final showdown held on February 11, 2024.
In a nail-biting finale, the team from the Sociology and Gender Studies (SGS) department emerged victorious, with Sumaiya Akter and Tahashin Binte Jamal Hridita delivering a stellar performance. Their strategic prowess and agile movements secured them the championship title. However, the runners-up from the Department of Business Administration (DBA), represented by Anika Sultana Priya and Tahamina Afrin Oishi, put up a commendable fight, showcasing their determination and skill throughout the match.
As the university eagerly awaits the trophy giving event scheduled for February 29, 2024, Ms. Mehdina Kabir Tamanna, the moderator of the CWU Sports Club, extends her heartfelt appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the tournament. Special thanks are extended to Mr. Subrata Kumar, the dedicated referee of the tournament, Ms. Asif-Un-Nahar, the university proctor, the volunteers and all members of the sports club whose efforts were instrumental in organizing and executing the tournament seamlessly.
