With the Coronavirus pandemic taking over our lives and the nation-wide lockdown restricting mobility and changing our lifestyles, these conversations are more important. A looming economy crisis, challenges in Educational Sector, future of employment opportunities, and our general financial security have turned the Bangladeshi into an anxious one.
To help our students and audience to deal with their mental health issues and improve emotional well-being, Department of Business administration, Central Women’s University has organized its first-ever webinar on “Fighting COVID – 19: Experiences and Learning” on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 7:30 PM. With the motto of ‘Distancing with Solidarity’ the webinar continued live streaming from CWU Facebook Page and Deepto TV Facebook page up to 9:30 PM. The formal session started by the speech of Mr. Hasan Shirazi, Chairperson of the Business Administration Department and wrapped up with his vote of thanks to the speakers, guests, and audiences. Mr. Kazi Zahedul Hasan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, CWU talked on the experiences and learnings as a corona fighter as well as on the impact of corona virus on corporate world. Moreover, Four sapient and ingenious panelists: Prof. Dr. Noor Muhammad, Chairperson, Department of Psychology, Jagannath University; Prof. Kamrul Arefin, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Jahangirnagar University; Dr. Mohsena Rahman, Assistant Registrar (Psychiatry), National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital; Sanjida Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Jagannath University and PhD Researcher, Monash University have shared their valuable experiences and learning regarding the respective issue. Dr. Maleka Begum, Chairperson, Department of Sociology and Gender Studies; Mr. Abdus Selim, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of English Languages and Literature, attended the webinar and shared their worthy opinion and speech regarding Corona virus and its impact on educational sector. Subrata Kumar a senior lecturer of Department of Business Administration shared his experience, learning and challenges faced for conducting online classes from his hometown Rajshahi. In addition, Shahara Khatun Sara, a student of the business administration, shared her story with the audience, which was incredibly challenging for all to accept. Mr. Elias Ahmed, Registrar and Dr. Perween Hasan, Vice-Chancellor of Central Women’s University thanked the speakers, panelists and COVID fighters, technical team of Deepto TV, program initiators and audiences. The live session anchored by Sadia Parvin Sara, student of Department of Business administration.
