Workshop on "How to become an entrepreneur"
Entrepreneurship plays a critical role in boosting economic growth and development. Entrepreneurship training is a structured program that aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and mindset for identifying and launching new ventures. For encouraging entrepreneurship and women empowerment, Women & E-commerce (WE) Forum organized a workshop titled on "how to become an entrepreneur", supported by Central Women's University Business Club on February 27, 2020. The trainer and keynote speaker of the workshop was Selima Hossain Allen, Consultant (Entrepreneurship, Startups, HR and Administration), BetterStories Limited; Ambassador, Seedstar Bangladesh; Adviser, Youth Career Institute. She interacted with the students in the first session through quiz, brainstorming and presentation. The second session was about the success stories and motivational speeches - covered by Niger Fatema (Owner, Ariya's Collection), Kakoly Talokder (Owner, Kakoly'rs Attire), Monika Ahmed (Owner, Konnyasundori), Razib Ahmed (Founder & CEO, Search English), Nasima Aktar Nisha ( President, WE Forum), Fouzia Binta Wahid and Nafisa Nawar Sherita (Students of Department of Business Administration, CWU). The program was concluded with crest giving ceremony. About 250 students attended the workshop and received certificates. The event was coordinated and hosted by Farzana Tanny, Director, WE. This program encouraged CWU students to push through rough patches and gray days to the brighter and visionary future as an entrepreneur.
