Celebrating International Mother Language Day and Shahid Dibash

Central Women's University (CWU) observed International Mother Language Day and Shahid Dibash on February 23, 2017 at the university auditorium. The Cultural Club and Cinema Club of CWU jointly organized the event. After the national anthem a patriotic song was performed by a student. In the second session, students along with the faculty members watched 'Jibon Theke Neya' directed by Zahir Raihan, a renowned filmmaker of Bangladesh. The movie was based on the Bengali language movement in 1952. A post-show discussion was held by the audience on filmmaking during the war of liberation and the language movement.
