Students of Journalism & Media Studies at Central Women’s University took part in an inspiring workshop, “Literary Journalism: A Conversation with Poet Rummana Jannat.” The workshop was a collaborative initiative between Central Women’s University and Drik Trust, organised by the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, CWU. They explored the art of narrative storytelling beyond traditional reporting and discovered new creative dimensions of journalism. The session also included a hands-on experience with cyanotype using text, blending literature with visual expression in the most captivating way. The programme was led by Saydia Gulrukh (Journalist at New Age and Director of Drik Picture Library) and Samia Rahaman Preema (Researcher at Drik). The event was coordinated by Kazi Nafia Rahman and facilitated by Asrafun Naher, both Lecturers at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, CWU.
