Wall Magazine named "Brainstorming"
For the requirement of “Entrepreneurship Development” course, the 5th term students of the Department of BBA submitted their new venture plans through a business wall magazine – named “BRAINSTORMING"(4th ed.). Students prepared some unique enterprise formats which reflected both creativity and feasibility. Some mentionable ideas were: tiffin services to different schools, active learning curriculum for primary school students, mobile beauty parlor, organic food farming, home decor solutions with scrap products, celebrating lives with gift service solutions and so on. Workshop on TV Production
A two-day workshop on TV production was held at the Central Women's University (CWU) from August 23 to August 24, 2017. The workshop was jointly organized by the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, CWU and Deepto TV. The main consultant of the workshop was internationally renowned media educator and director Fuad Chowdhury. From Deepto TV the resource persons were Urfi Ahmad, CEO; Rana Islam, Executive Producer; Shafiqul Alam, Manager, Camera & Operations; Deepak Kumar Goswami, Director, Voice Acting Programs; and Tamzida Tuba, Producer.
The Orientation Program of Fall 2017
The Orientation Program of Fall 2017 was held at the university campus on Sunday, September 17 at the auditorium. The program started with the National Anthem. The Departmental Chairpersons introduced themselves along with their respective faculty members. The Deputy Registrar, Treasurer and Vice-Chancellor briefly described the facilities available at the university and introduced the concerned administrative officials to the newly admitted students. Seminar on Higher Study Prospect in the USA
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Central Women's University organized a seminar on “ Higher Study Prospect in the USA” at the CWU Auditorium on October 5, 2017. The seminar was presented by Education USA Program, from the US Embassy, Dhaka. The purpose of the seminar was to inform the CWU students about the procedures for applying to an American university for higher education. ১৯ শে অক্টোবর, ২০১৭, সেন্ট্রাল উইমেন্স ইউনিভার্সিটির কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স এন্ড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগ কর্তৃক আয়োজিত হলো "সড়ক নিরাপত্তা : শিক্ষক, শিক্ষার্থী ও অভিভাবকদের করণীয়" শীর্ষক একটি কর্মশালা। কর্মশালাটিতে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জনপ্রিয় চলচ্চিত্র অভিনেতা এবং "নিরাপদ সড়ক চাই" আন্দোলনের প্রবক্তা জনাব ইলিয়াস কাঞ্চন । এই কর্মশালায় যোগদান করেন, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সকল বিভাগের শিক্ষক, শিক্ষার্থী এবং কর্মকর্তা ও কর্মচারীবন্দ। কর্মশালায় সড়ক দুর্ঘটনার কারণ এবং প্রতিকার বিষয়ক বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে আলোকপাত করা হয়। সকলকে সড়ক নিরাপত্তা বিষয়ক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির জন্য গুরুত্ব আরোপ করা হয়।
Special screening of Tarunner Kotha
The screening of Tarunner Kotha, a TV program, jointly produced by the students of Central Women’s University and Deepto TV was held at the CWU auditorium on October 15, 2017. The pilot program gave voice to students on contemporary issues related to young people. Mrs. Firdaus Ali, Registrar, Central Women’s University, faculty members and other students attended the screening session. Media personality Fuad Chowdhury and program producer Tamzida Tuba from Deepto TV were also present.
